What would happen if we were to step outside the old fashioned notion that recyclables were trash? What if we were to believe that the notion of recycling was as beautiful as the concept of a pollution-free landscape and an environment free from clutter and debris? What if we thought of methods to enable and encourage people to recycle by providing attractive, intuitive, and convenient ways of allowing them to do the right thing? The problem with current thinking is that the concept of recycling is directed toward collecting, not toward encouraging. Recyclables are regarded as waste. That’s just wrong. Recycling should be seen as an asset. Every recyclable collected is a deposit toward a cleaner earth. A recycling container should be just as beautiful as is the concept of recycling. It must be designed to allow frequent placement without itself becoming clutter. It cannot resemble an old-fashioned garbage can or waste receptacle. It must make the statement by its shear presence of the use for which it is intended. It must be distinctive. It is to be designed to establish a new trend, not to perpetuate an outdated one. Recyclables are not waste, and must not be treated as such. Our mission is to determine how providing the right containers can encourage the public to recycle more, and just as importantly, how to ease the burden of full container collections to alleviate objections of governments and businesses of having to empty them. The Grand Leader® Line of all metal recyclers will address the needs of governments, municipalities, and businesses by providing a comprehensive line that will be as attractive as it is functional. A wide ranging line will be offered that will serve the needs of everything from utilitarian designs for Parks and Recreation, to architectural styles for convention centers, airports, and commercial.
